This is for safety reasons as it helps protect the pilot from the blades of the propeller and can even help keep them same in the event of a crash. ![]() Like powered hang gliders, paramotors typically have some sort of frame or "cage" around the pilot. The motor also allows paramotor pilots to fly much faster than paragliders, which can be great for anyone that wants to cover some serious ground quickly! This motor is typically attached to the back of the pilot in a backpack-style fashion and provides thrust to help the pilot take off and stay in the air. What is a Paramotor?Ī paramotor is a type of powered aircraft that is very similar to a paraglider in its most basic sense. So it's a bit of give and take when it comes to controlling and handling, but you will certainly be able to stay in the air and potentially even fly much faster than you could with a traditional hang glider. However, the extra weight also makes them more stable in the air and less likely to be affected by turbulence. Powered hang gliders are significantly heavier than traditional hang gliders, which can make them more difficult to control in some conditions. This can make them a good option for anyone that isn't experienced enough to really take advantage of the winds to stay in the air. Powered hang gliders typically have a small engine attached to the frame, which allows the pilot to take off and stay in the air without having to rely on thermals or other weather conditions. What is a Powered Hang Glider?Ī powered hang glider is an aircraft that combines the features of a traditional hang glider with that of a powered aircraft. While this might work once or twice, to get you through a mowing session, you should still consider replacing the plug. In a pinch, you might be able to lightly clean the plug and gently adjust the gap between the electrodes. If you take the plug out and it looks rounded on top or there are some cracks, then it’s probably wise to replace it.Īt the same time, some bad spark plugs will also look black from carbon or degraded excess gasoline. Physically the center of the electrode should have a flat top. This could even cause a lingering smell of raw gasoline while you are mowing.Ī truly bad sparkplug might also show visible signs. If you can't smell fuel in the combustion cylinder or see or smell fuel on the bottom of the spark plug, the fuel passageways are likely obstructed. In severe cases, professional cleaning of the carburetor and a possible carburetor rebuild are the only cures for this situation. This can cause deposits and blockages in your equipment’s fuel system. As gas ages, hydrocarbons in the fuel mixture evaporate and the remaining fuel becomes tacky or varnish-like. If fuel was stored in the unit for an extended period, areas such as fuel lines and the metering needle may have become gummed up from the old fuel mixture. Remember to properly dispose of the old fuel. The best solution is to drain the gas from your equipment and replace with fresh gas. Note the color of fresh gas (Left) compared to gas that has oxidized (Right) What should I do if my snow blower has bad fuel? See the image below for a comparison between the color of fresh gas (Left) to gas that has oxidized (Right) and should not be used in your equipment. If the gas is dark in color, it has more than likely gone bad. The other method is to drain a sample from your machine’s fuel tank or your gas can into a clear glass container. Oxidized gas has a sour smell and is much stronger smelling than fresh gas. The easiest way to diagnose gas is to smell the fuel in question. And no, we’re not talking about the after-effects of dinner at your favorite Mexican restaurant. If your snow blower is difficult to start, idles roughly, stalls out, or makes a “pinging” sound, you may have a case of “bad gas”. Of course, many factors contribute to how long gas can be stored, including storage location, temperature, condition of the fuel container, and more. Using Sta-Bil Storage Fuel Stabilizer can increase storage time up to 24 months. Whether in a gas can or in your snow blower, gas can go stale and lose its volatility in as little as 30 days. We find that many of our clients want the look of wood, but think they’ll be able to save a lot of money by opting for vinyl instead. Now that you’re sufficiently torn between wood and wood-look vinyl, let’s talk about COST. Vinyl floors are virtually impervious to moisture damage, whereas hardwood floors will have to be completely replaced if they sustain major water damage. The durability factor where vinyl flooring greatly outshines wood flooring is in vinyl’s ability to resist moisture. Some of the durability issues with vinyl can be minimized with your product choice – generally speaking, a higher-end vinyl will be more durable than a low- or mid-range vinyl. The durability of luxury vinyl compares to that of wood flooring as a near equal in most areas, as vinyl flooring isn’t immune to scuffing, chipping and cracking. ![]() Photo: Chattering and wire brushing in wood flooring And, as a failsafe, wood floors can always be sanded and refinished. And selecting a wood floor finish with a bit of “chattering” or “wire brushing” has made it so that if a bit of surface scratching does happen on your floors, it’s well disguised and adds to the character of the floor. In our experience, matte/oil finishes, coupled with a hardwood species that has some natural graining (like an oak or hickory) are going to be durable enough to withstand most of what life throws your way. If you’re like many of our clients who grew up with wood floors and remember the days of resealing them with a thick coat of polyurethane to keep them looking new, and are opting for vinyl to avoid the maintenance associated with the wood floors… let’s talk about the wood floors of today! Wood flooring now comes with a factory finish which is extremely durable and much longer lasting than the traditional “installer applied” finish, which means you can go years longer without needing to refinish them. Let’s start off by comparing the durability of real wood versus the maintenance of luxury vinyl. When selecting the flooring for your home, there are three key factors to consider: durability, cost, and look. The goal for any flooring, whether you choose wood or wood-look, should be to make it look as natural as possible. Luxury Vinyl Planks (also known as LVP) are a very popular alternative to wood flooring. ![]() VEH Templates will be given at a later date.Ĭopy and paste these into your UserData/player/Settings folder, or even its individual track folders.Ĭars may flicker when damaged. The AI is a little inconsistent being that they are super fast at some tracks and slower at others, but just mess with it until you find what works for your speed. It is set up to run the 2015 tracks when you start the season and it will keep track of your points. I have a blast offline racing, but most prefer online I guess. You get 3 and 4 wide racing on the 2015 DWD tracks and you can turn yellow flags on with out the AI completely flaking out when the yellow comes out( which most dirt mods do). The best AI for offline racing is the DWD 2015 Big Block Mods. If you have the RFE weather plug in, the track conditions change and the groove will move around a bit. For some reason I cant get the DM16 AI to work on the DWD 2015 tracks( which are awesome by the way). The DM16 late model AI works well on most of the BRL sprint tracks and the old DWD tracks. I gave up because I travel too much to commit to a league. Unfortunately that is one of the weaker points of rfactor is trying to find online racing. Alot of guys muck around with their vehicle file to cheat, so if their files dont match yours, it wont let you race. Hoping someone has run into this problemWhat is the error code? It usually means there is a file mismatch between you and whomever is hosting the race. Seems to happen to several of the other players trying to join as well. It shows me at the actual track in the car but won't let me drive. I now have the dirt Motorsport 16 mod, can anyone tell me why every time I go to join an online race it gives me an error code. ![]() Also the game ended with Link embarking on a journey, so it left open the possibility of what comes after the game. We used that hint of a romance between the two to tug at the heartstrings.ĭo you see any possibility for more games in the Skyward Sword style or taking place in the same world?Įiji Aonuma: With Wind Waker, the graphics were suited to handheld gaming. We look at this game as the earliest in the Zelda timeline, so we wanted to create a story where Zelda had a role that would help explain why it is The Legend of Zelda.Īs far as the love story goes, it wasn’t that we wanted to create a romance between Link and Zelda as much as we wanted the player to feel like this is a person who’s very important to me, who I need to find. We felt it was important to make that clear to the player. This time what stood out for us was that Link and Zelda start off as childhood friends. Why did you decide to pursue a love story angle and increase Zelda’s role in Skyward Sword?Įiji Aonuma: The game is The Legend of Zelda, so every time we’re making a new game, we struggle with how we’re going to portray the title character. The goal has really been not necessarily making the story deeper, but making it more interesting so that it keeps the player wanting to play all the way through to the end of the game. We looking for ways to draw that experience out… so when it seemed like you were just about to get back together with Zelda, something would happen, and it would shift. But of course the challenge with a story like this is, once you find her, there’s no longer any need to continue exploring. The impetus for Link going out and exploring the world became Zelda falling down below and Link needing to find her. One of the main themes that drove us this time was wanting people to explore the world. We started with the idea for the overall game. As you create more Zelda games, do you have the desire to create stories that stand out from the more simplistic tales that the series started out with?Įiji Aonuma: I wouldn’t say that we were striving to create a deeper story this time around necessarily. Skyward Sword’s story doesn’t follow the predictable path of earlier titles. Because of that, I suspect maybe that the soundtrack itself feels a little bit closer to moves or animation than it does to past Zelda games. ![]() We’ve used it throughout the game – I think there’s about 30 songs total that are orchestrated. One of the reasons you may have come to that conclusion is that this is the first time we’ve used orchestrated music within a Zelda game. Koji Kondo: My impression of what it is to be Disney-esque may be somewhat different than your impression. Was that something you were drawing inspiration from with Skyward Sword? The characters and storytelling and the musical themes tied to some of the characters are reminiscent of classic Disney movies. Because it’s so tied to the motion controls, do you have any concern about future gamers being able to play and discover Skyward Sword the way that they can use the Virtual Console to play titles like Ocarina of Time or A Link to the Past?Įiji Aonuma: I think that motion control devices will continue to be attached to Nintendo hardware going forward. |
